5-part Ensemble Music with Flexible Instrumentation
Suitable for many combinations of Woodwind &/or Brass instruments
Ideal for Clarinet Quintet/Ensemble, Saxophone Quintet/Ensemble and Brass Quintet/Ensemble.
Items that include optional percussion can also be used for Concert Band and are ideal when the Concert Band line-up is incomplete/unbalanced.
All 5-part arrangements include:
• Part 1 – Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet.
• Part 2 – Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Trumpet.
• Part 3 – Clarinet, Tenor Saxophone, F Horn.
• Part 4 – Bassoon, Bass Clarinet, Baritone Saxophone, Trombone/Euphonium.
• Part 5 – Clarinet* / Bass Clarinet*, Tenor Saxophone*, F Horn*, Tuba.
Some also have Optional Percussion parts.
The scores are notated in concert pitch. Octave displacement occurs in some parts. Parts 2 and 3 are kept below the break for the Clarinets in the Elementary level. Part 3 is kept below the break in both the Elementary and Intermediate Levels. Optional lower notes are given if the Bass Clarinet crosses the break in Part 4.

Elementary level…
SHORT & SUITE – with Optional Percussion
– 3 short pieces (can be used separately or as a suite)
– all Clarinet and Bass Clarinet parts are below the break
– melody is “shared” so that all players of Parts 1, 2, 3 and 4 have “important” parts!
– Part 5 is optional – can be played using only the notes Bb and F (concert pitch)
Intermediate level…
